Wedding Day Highlights: Lisa + Aaron Soltz

Lisa and Aaron’s wedding was a special one. They are surrounded by great friends and loved ones who really care about them.

Lisa and Aaron’s wedding was coming up and they really wanted to hire us to film their wedding but most of their budget was already allocated. Aaron was about to surprise Lisa and book us anyways, but then they got another surprise…

After working together with Jason Domingues a while back with Lisa and Aaron, some of their closest friends and family got together and decided to pitch in to hire us as a group gift! It was an honor to be a part of your special day!

We had a great time with Lisa and Aaron on this one. They have great personalities and were very upbeat and happy throughout the shoot… in fact, they had a hard time keeping from smiling ;)

When I asked Lisa what song she would like for their Save the Date Video, she said that Aaron would probably put Coldplay at the top of the list… so here’s the Kairos Moment remix version of Coldplay’s Clocks.

Trash the Dress article in the Kansas City Star

With all the recent press that Trash the Dress has been receiving lately, the news was bound to spread to Kansas City.

Featuring 2 fantastic photographers (Jason Domingues and Heather Cole) and a videographer (guess who? :) all in the Kansas City area who are already offering Trash the Dress sessions, if you are looking for bridal images that look like they could belong in a fashion magazine, give any of us a call. Back from Down Under

After 35 hours of traveling from Christchurch, New Zealand back to good old Kansas City, Mary and I are back safely after an awesome time!

New Zealand is an excellent place to vacation during this time of year, especially after coming back to 90 degree humid weather!

More pictures coming soon!

After almost three weeks of almost no contact with the outside world, there is a lot of catching up to do! A lot has happened while we’ve been gone and a lot more is still happening.

First, a special congratulations are in order for Heather Cole, who was featured in a New York Times article with images from her Trash the Dress session which we had collaborated on. (Video from the TTD session with Heather) Coincidentally, the NY Times article was published on our one year anniversary date! How cool is that? :)

In other media news, TTD has been featured on Entertainment Tonight’s “The Insider” as well as on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Jason Domingues, another fantastic KC photographer, has his Trash the Dress photos on Good Morning America’s slideshow. (For more of Jason’s TTD pics, click here)

Trashing the Dress is gaining popularity in the Kansas City area as another photographer, Kelley Walker-Chance, most well-known for her Coquettes, has recently done her first TTD session as well, which, as usual, ended up looking amazing!
